What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and/or level of concentration that the average person reaches daily.  Hypnosis helps bring about change by accessing and influencing the unconscious mind through hypnotic suggestion, guided relaxation and imagery.  The only requirement for successful results is a person’s conscious desire to make changes and accept the suggestions given during the hypnosis session.

Common Myths

Do I fall asleep or unconscious in hypnosis?

No, Hypnosis relaxes the conscious mind and accesses the subconscious in order to suggest beneficial changes a person wants to make.

Can everyone be Hypnotized?

Yes, as long as you have the ability to concentrate and/or relax.  As long as you are willing to undergo hypnosis, you can be hypnotized. If  you choose to resist hypnosis, you will simply not be hypnotized.

What if I get stuck in Hypnosis? 

When your hypnosis session ends, you would naturally come out of a hypnotic state within minutes.

Do people do things under hypnosis that are against their will?

No, generally, if a person is given a suggestion, they do not agree with they will immediately come out of hypnosis.
